Vegetarian or vegan? Which is which? What are their differences?
A vegetarian diet is one of the most popular diets nowadays. It has been found to be beneficial to one’s health as it helps reduce the risk of certain diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and some cancer. More and more people are choosing this diet to improve their overall health. They also choose this diet for ethical, religious, and environmental reasons.
A vegetarian is someone whose diet consists of plant-based food, doesn’t eat any animal meat but may or may not include dairy, eggs, and honey in their diet.
There are several types of vegetarian. The most common are:
Lacto-ovo vegetarian

Many vegans also don’t use animal products such as leather, wool, and any beauty products that involve animal testing.
Other forms of diets that people often confuse as vegetarian but are absolutely not vegetarian are:

Pescatarian or pescetarian is someone whose diet centers on plant-based foods but eats seafoods.
Pollotarian is someone whose diet centers on plant-based foods but eats chicken.
